O Awards shows!!!! YAY!!! I love love love seeing all of the gown choices! It’s like Christmas…or something :)

This year I didn’t have too many that I hated so that’s always good, I guess, but less to make fun of :)  There was a lot of blue and yellow, which is fabulous because I HEART yellow so much right now!!! I like the Emmy’s because I think you can still be really fun with your dresses and be a little bit light-hearted with them. It’s still hot outside, but it is technically fall.

So anyway, here are some of the dresses that I thought stood out the most, some of the ones I did kind of hate, and my FAVS of course! Enjoy!!!

Heidi Klum in Alexandre Vauthier: Not my all time favorite because I felt like the dress was sooo open…I mean it IS technically fall Heidi! But the color was sooo pretty on her. I just wish she had done her hair up to dress it up a tiny bit more.

Mindy Kaling in St. John: I think the color is great on her, but not the fit. She should have done something to accentuate her shape a little bit. The belt tried, but overall the dress didn’t do a lot for her. On the other hand, watch The Mindy Project…HILARIOUS!

Lucy Liu in Versace: I thought she looked so good! A little like a disco ball, but the fit was perfect for her!

Sarah Hyland in Marchesa: I think she is so cute! She looks great, but sometimes I wish she would take a risk! She is so young, why not try out something crazy.

Sophia Vergara in Zuhair Murad: I think she looks fabulous, and who else could pull this off, but it does slightly make me think mermaid…not necessarily a bad thing though.

Kat Dennings in J.Mendel: I just don’t love this. It’s not worst dressed at all, but I just don’t think it’s great. It looks like everything is just being pulled down. I do think the color looks good though.

Zooey Deschanel in Reem Acra: She is just the cutest thing ever. She looks like a little funky princess or something and it totally fits her personality. Love it.

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood: She always wears black, and this is so pretty on her! The fit is great and I love her makeup!

Allison Williams in Oscar de la Renta: This dress is fabulous! I love the color and the shape.

Claire Danes in Lanvin: She looks so amazing, and for being pregnant on top of that! If you look at compared to the model, it makes the model look pregnant, so it was the perfect pick!

Hayden Panettiere in Marchesa: This dress was gorgeous. I loved it because it was so interesting and different from most of the others. I just wish it made her look a little bit taller!

January Jones in Zac Posen: I wanted to love this so much because it is such an interesting, fun dress, but I HATED the way she slicked back her hair and didn’t do a red lip or a darker eye or something. It just looked plain. I think I would have been in love with the dress if the hemline had been long all the way around. I didn’t love the high-low hem.

WORSTS:

Elisabeth Moss in Dolce & Gabbana: I just did not like this. I thought it made her look bigger than she was. It’s a spring, floral print dress, and I don’t like the hemline again. She should have gone a little bit more glam for the Emmy’s. Not my fav.

Kristen Wigg in Balenciaga: Really? Did you just come from a beach party? What are you wearing? I did not like this at all. Way too dressed down and I thought it made her look really pale.

Ashley Judd in Carolina Herrera: Is she trying to re-make her prom night? Cuz this is a little scary. Hate the dress, hate the pin, hate the hair. Sorry.

Nicole Kidman in Antonio Berardi: I just thought this was boring for her. Usually she has these fabulous dresses and this one did not do anything for her. If any of you watch Fashion Police, they showed this with the jacket that it was made with and it was stunning…but she kinda ruined it by taking the jacket off…Portia de Rossi in Valentino: Hands down worst. The color totally washes her out, the pants are too short, and Ellen is already wearing pants. O not to mention that I have no idea if her hair is supposed to be like wild and crazy or slicked back and it’s just not staying down. I hated it.

BESTS!

Emilia Clarke in Chanel: I totally loved this dress. It is so cute and fun! I absolutely LOVE the shape!

Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan: I wasn’t sure about this at first, but the more I look at it the more I love it. I love the detail at the top, and of course I’m obsessed with mustard right now. I think her turquoise jewelry is the perfect accent. Plus the dress has pockets! WHAT! Awesome!

Julieanne Moore in Christian Dior: A lot of people were divided on this dress. I loved it because I thought she was such a great person to wear it. She in great shape, but she’s getting older and probably doesn’t want to show all of her skin off. I just loved the shape of it. (and the color) Plus her makeup looked amaze.

Padma Lakshmi in Monique Lhuillier: Really? Do I have to explain why I love this? Perfect fit.

Emily VanCamp in J.Mendel: I thought this was the perfect dress for her because she is so dainty and polished. I loved it! I like the color and the details so much!

Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier: As everyone’s been saying…”girl on fire”. Ohmigosh I can’t get over the details on this dress. So gorgeous. I’m so glad she went out on a limb and did something different. And I DO like the hemline because you can see her gorgeous shoes! Plus is doesn’t come up too high.

Julie Bowen in Monique Lhuillier: Another fabulous Monique Lhuiller. I think I’ve had three in my best dressed. I am dying over the bright neon and how great it fits her. Plus I think this is so different from what she usually wears. Between her and Ginnifer Goodwin, these two are my favs!
